THE BAND:

In Mid 2011 "Striped Po'jamas" was nothing more than a bunch of Po' local Musicans, with over 175 years of  combined experience, getting together to jam. The idea behind forming a band became clear with the crowds that were forming at these sessions. So with a bunch of 50+ year-olds with depleted brain cells, 5-sets of eye glasses, 3-sets of hearing aids, a set of false teeth, a pot of coffee and a bottle of viagra, "Striped Po'Jamas" was formed. Using themes to arrange the set list the band found it's own niche in the local music scene. During the coarse of their proformance they play a varity of hits from the not so long distant past back to the early day's of  Rock n Roll. Set 1 (Chaingang) features the band dressed in their signitured striped chaingang outfits playing such songs as "Gimmie Back My Bullets" by Lynyrd Skynryd and "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis to the more recent hit "Man In The Box" by Alice and Chains. Set 2 (Southern Rock) is full of your favorite southern rock tunes which includes: "Can't You See" by Marshall Tucker Band, "Whiskey Man" by Molly Hatchett and "The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago" by ZZ Top. With the band dusting off all their old Hippie gear, Set 3 (Tie,Die 60's & 70's) has all the hits you'll remember from the good old Flower Power days with such tunes as: "Black Magic Woman" by Santana, "Green River" by C.C.R., "Sunshine Of Your Love" by Cream and "Younglust" by Pink Floyd. They end the night with Set 4 (AM Hits) with such favorites as: "Rock n Roll" by Led Zeppelin, "Brain Stew" by Green Day and "Bang A Gong" by T.Rex. No matter what your age the show has something for everyone. You'll keep returning to see the band as it is constantly adding new material to cover.
